Rhody rolls, part 1

Summer is here! Well almost, but in a few days the longest day of the year will officially be the start of a long-awaited summer here in New England. Today is National Lobster Day, so it’s fitting I post the first of many reviews on my favorite lobster rolls. 

DIY lobster rolls

I’m from the south, and although they have their barbecue sandwich, a staple growing up, we have our lobster rolls here in New England that I love. Clam shacks are opening for the season serving up fresh lobster rolls with the smell of saltwater nearby. It can also be fun to do it yourself. 

Wrap it up!

I owe one of my favorite meal ideas to a popular fast food chain. I remember back in college in the 80’s when Taco Bell was a novelty, and a bunch of us would pack up in the car to make the trek.

A ‘heart’y menu

Sure, Valentine’s Day may be for lovers to go that extra mile, but it’s also for eaters who want that extra decadence. I usually make a nice meal at home because going out can be frustrating, crowded, and expensive.

Looking ahead

January was a tough year, but we made it! There have certainly been some rocky spots in the road so far, but I’ve had some unexpected tail winds that have scooted me along. And with new starts, comes new opportunities and a few risks.
